Little Harbour to Marsh Harbour

Six hours motoring to Marsh Harbour.  Got diesel and gas at Harbour View Marina at Marsh Harbour.

We took a walk - wondering through the destruction from Dorian from 2019 which decimated Marsh Harbour.  We found an empty field which was probably the remains of the Lofty Fig, but Enid never confirmed that it was where the Motel was.

We ended up doing groceries at Maxwell

I was disappointed with what I saw at Marsh Harbour.

Gun to Little Harbour

We got up late and departed at 11 heading towards Marsh Harbour, ending up at Little Harbour—arriving in the dark.  The lateness was to be blamed on Mr Glenlivet from the night before.

We motor from 11 to 19:30.

Spanish Well mooring

Stayed at for the day

We agreed that Norm would stay aboard to West End and catch a flight from Freeport rather than Marsh Harbour.  I would not have been very awkward for Norm to leave from Marsh Harbour and get Chris back to Orlando for his flight home.

Brunswick to Wally s Leg

I weighed anchor at 10 ish and lazyly headed to Brunswick Landing about 5 miles away to get fuel.

On the way, after the Syndey Lanier bridge, in front of the commercial dock, the engine died of fuel starvation.  There should have been 7 hours left. The gauge was low and I was suspicious.

I dropped the anchor at 40 feet and addded fuel to the tank and commented bleeding the engine.  It was not going well so I opened the secondary filter to prefill it.  I found the O-ring had broken but I had several spares.  Eventually I got the engine started and got to Brunswick Landing Marina and purchase 18 Gallons. My theoretical tank is 70 liters which should be 18 gallons.  I filled the water tank and departed without any assistance.

It was almost 1 PM and I was tired and stressed.  I headed north towards Doboy and I ended up at a nice anchorage called Wally;s Leg.  Very pleasant and had a good shot or two of whiskey and BBQ some boneless  pork ribs again.  Nice evening at a very isolated anchorage all alone.

Russel Island to Spanish Well morings

In the morning we set sail to a mooring field in Spanish Well and were well protected from the weather.

There was a ship in the channel that was blocking the channel. We she departed, she went to the bay and turned around and we had to go close to the shore to avoid her.  Meanwhile, the ferry cut in front of us in an un-seamanship manner.

We got a mooring ball.

Monday was rainy.  I showered in the rain.  It was good.

We spliced the 8-plait line to the anchor chain that was cut at Highbourne.

On Tuesday we walked through town and got some groceries when Chris arrived.  We were starting to head back to the center of Spanish Well when a golf cart offered us a lift,

Met with Chris, bought his luggage to the boat and went out for supper at Wreckers.

The next day I discovered that I left my credit card at the restaurant.  We picked up the credit card and did more groceries and wine.

Later Marc-Andre introduced us to his neighbour Fulub who was on another mooring ball !

To Russel Island

We sailed through the Current Cut towards Russell Island.

We were concerned about the upcoming weather.  I check with various marinas but no place was available.

Chris was coming into Spanish Cay tomorrow.

Swansboro to Oriental

I got up early (again) and found Bellum had been spinning round the anchor.  When I pullled up the anchor, the chain seemed to have spun a ...
